Each country is certainly not free from natural disasters, whether on a small scale or a large scale. A similar situation was also experienced by Malaysia. Flooding is a natural disaster that is synonymous with Malaysia. Normally, Malaysia will come flooding during the rainy season, around November to March.
Malaysia experienced an
equatorial climate, but in some places in Malaysia, especially in the northern
part of Peninsular Malaysia (Kedah and Perlis) and North Sabah (Beaufort,
Tawau, Kudat and Sandakan), has a tropical monsoon climate. In general, the
climate in Malaysia has a nearly uniform temperature, high humidity and
abundant rainfall received an average throughout the year.
During the northeast monsoon
season, better known as the monsoon season, the exposed area is like the East
Coast of Peninsular Malaysia (Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang), Western Sarawak
and Sabah Northeast region experienced some periods of heavy rain. Northeast
Monsoon, better known as the monsoon is expected to end in March 2016, the
country will have four episodes of torrential rains sweeping for three to four
days. Therefore, the people living in these areas are advised to take measures
against floods. Here are the steps to flooding.

drain or sewer, to prevent flood water entering the channel

In conclusion, the authorities and the public in Malaysia can still take security measures when dealing with the monsoon season in order to avoid undesirable cases. The authorities need to constantly monitor areas prone to flooding.
Malaysian Meteorological
Department and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) should work with
the media so that the latest information on flood communicated to local
residents so that they are more aware and alert.
The government should also
provide relief centers which are more conducive to prevent the flood victims
got the plague. Floods also cause significant losses to the victims. Therefore,
it is also recommended to the government to increase the compensation of
